Echo River Capital proudly announces its achievement of B Corp Certification from the nonprofit B Lab. As a trailblazer in the impact investing sphere, we walk together with 8,000 fellow certified B Corps spearheading a global movement towards a regenerative, sustainable and equitable economy.

This certification underscores our unwavering commitment to effecting positive change through our investments in cutting-edge water and climate solution companies. At Echo River Capital, we firmly believe in the transformative power of business to drive social and environmental progress. Our alignment with B Corp principles reflects our dedication to transparency, accountability, and holistic impact investments.

The B Corp Certification process entails a comprehensive evaluation across various parameters, including social and environmental performance. In our journey towards certification, Echo River amended its by-laws to prioritize the interests of various stakeholders, reaffirming our pledge to invest 100% of our capital in impactful ventures. We are honored to join a global community of companies leveraging business as a force for good.

“We view our role at Echo River as more than just investors; we see ourselves as catalysts  of positive change.” remarked Peter Yolles, Managing Director of Echo River Capital. “This certification propels us forward on our mission to empower exceptional founders and foster a future of living in harmony with freshwater.”

By certifying as a benefit corporation, Echo River solidifies its binding commitment to support both people and the planet. Our decision to join the growing community of benefit corporations signals a collective shift towards responsible business practices.

“We are thrilled to be part of a global network of businesses dedicated to driving meaningful impact,” expressed Yoanna Lazarova, associate at Echo River who led the certification effort. “With a steadfast focus on empowering entrepreneurs and enhancing water and climate resilience, we aspire to have a lasting positive impact.”

Echo River’s portfolio reflects our dedication to catalyzing real-world change. By supporting startups that decentralize, digitize, and decarbonize the water cycle, we actively contribute to environmental sustainability and societal well-being. Our dedication to diversity extends to our investment philosophy, with a commitment that 50% of our portfolio companies comprise founders from under-represented communities. We proactively support women and minority entrepreneurs to propel their ventures.
